There is a phrase that I keep on hearing in my heart: “secure”. I believe a high sense of
feeling secure is needed in these days and the days to come. Bu how do we get “feeling
secure”? Meanwhile the conditions around us many of them are not secure. No one can
guarantee for sure that everything will be all right. This is what often creates fear, worry, anxiety and restlessness.
I try to find some of the basic reasons that often make people afraid:
Fear of losing life,
Fear of lack, and
Fear of losing money, property, objects or loved ones.
Then I try to confront all those fears with the TRUTH:
- It is not natural for believers to fear ‘death’.
We are meant only to die once (Hebrews 9:27) and by faith we are united with His death. So we will no longer go through death, but be picked up by His angels
to move to heaven and be greeted with glory by Him in heaven.
If we become more united with Him (the more intimate we are), then certainly we
will know when it is time for us to move to heaven. He will tell you, so there is
nothing to be surprised at! We will move in the condition of our highest potential
and glory that God has established! - It is not natural as a believer to be afraid of lack.
God has many ways to take care of our lives. Remember the story of Elijah, the raven and the Zarepath widow used by God to look after Elijah’s life. So in the midst of a crisis there is nothing to worry about. Just make sure we always do His will and just make sure our spirits are burning to serve Him with all our heart, soul and strength. - Fear of loss is caused by because we ‘have a sense of ownership and are
entitled to be in control’.
Whereas everything we have actually belongs to God, so leave it all to Him who
owns everything. Remember, only God is able to care and protect us. Also realize that OUR TRUE TREASURE IS GOD AND HIS WORD. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. That is our true habitat that will make us have a high sense of feeling secure.
In the days ahead, there will be a lot of people who experience severe ‘mental
disorders’ because of the fear that enslave them. But it is at that time that we will
be light and salt for them, bring the reality of God and give them the words of
eternal life as a solution.
