Psalm 5:3 (Easy-to-Read Version) : Every morning, Lord, I lay my gifts before you and
look to you for help. And every morning you hear my prayers.
Every morning, there is a scheduled ‘meeting’ between David and God. Of course, there
are many faith figures and other verses that states that they had a special time to see
God.
From this we can acknowledge the nature of God, He is serious when we set up the
hours of our prayer. He will be present at that time, waiting and fellowshipping with us.
For quite some time we think our praying and worship routine ‘is normal’, even though
God is greatly looking forward for that time. He is present for us who earnestly seek
Him.
2 Chronicles 16:9 (NIV) For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. You have done a foolish thing, and from now on you will be
at war.”
Hebrews 11:6 (NIV) And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him
must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
I now understand why the figures of faith in the past are very ‘discipline’ in prayer time,
in fact the ‘spirit that drives’ them to do this is because of the basics of their hearts that
loved God and knowing of God.
This morning I felt like getting injection for new strength to persevere in maintaining my
praying hours that I have set. My heart is burning waiting for that time, because at that
moment I will experience a personal encounter with God.
Isn’t that something special? If that can happen every day, then we will have special
moments every day to be more unified with His existence.
Be careful with the ‘spirit of familiarity towards God’. Because we often ‘meet with God’
we might consider it as ‘usual’. So, we unconsciously lose our ‘awe and respect’ for
Him.
Allow the Holy Spirit to work powerfully within us to restore our hearts. That we regain
the burning love and extreme thirst for God. It is this type of heart condition that will
make us experience a living fellowship with Him every day.
Our praying hours will be full of His reality. This is what makes our lives distinguished by
God. At least we will manifest peace and joy that surpasses all understanding, because
God is in us and He is in us. It is natural for us to enjoy a life that is not shaken (Psalm
91).
