Exodus 28:1-2 (TB) “Now take Aaron your brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister to Me as priest, Aaron and Aaron’s sons: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. And you shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother, for glory and for beauty.
This morning I asked the Holy Spirit to be a doer of the Word from the verse above. I feel that this verse has deeper weight than what we have read and known so far. Because it contains a dimension that ‘leads and demands’ us to live only from one input, namely the voice of God, not from the fruit of knowledge of good and evil.
I see more and more footprints of the warriors of faith written in the Bible, they actually live only led by the voice of God. Just watch what they did, often against good and evil science.
Example: How could the strong walls of Jericho fall down just by being surrounded by people? Scientifically impossible! Not to mention that when Joshua prayed, a big thing happened where the entire rotation of the universe and the heavenly bodies stopped moving! Scientifically it doesn’t make any sense either!
Inevitably, we must know that we have been molded by various human wisdoms that come from the knowledge of good and evil.
So, as new creations, we must take a firm stance to resist the ‘same temptation’ from the devil who tries to ‘instill other input’ apart from the Word that comes out of God’s mouth.
Of course, we think: There is also the Word of God that is equal to the goodness that the world teaches! True, not all are different! But it is still, because the source is different. The main point is the SOURCE. Make sure we are attached to the SOURCE, which is God Himself.
I kept being reminded by the Holy Spirit about the ‘book’ man, Smith Wigglesworth, who only read the Bible. He even refused to read newspapers. He lived a very godly life in all aspects and was used by God to manifest His mighty power in the era in which he lived.
Surely in our minds there will be many reasons against such a life. In short, we feel we need ‘other information and a lot of other knowledge’ to be able to live in today’s era, we feel we can’t live only from God’s Word!
I feel, the Holy Spirit is like ‘challenging’ to practice what Smith did. I know it’s not easy, I know it’s going to create controversy, I know it’s going to create a lot of ridicule. But I know for sure, if we obey what the Spirit says then God Himself will be with our lives.
In short, NO NEED TO BE AFRAID OF WHAT PEOPLE SAY! Focus on what God is saying. That’s what NOAH AND HIS FAMILY did. They broke away from the FRUIT OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL, and focused on doing what God told them to do! It’s very controversial indeed, but God raised them much higher than others and started a new civilization through them!
I need determination like Noah and Smith! This morning I asked for that divine determination from the Holy Spirit. Help me Lord to walk in Your will, I need Your grace. I believe God will definitely enable me!
