The direction of the Holy Spirit in me is quite clear and indeed feels strong: Build divine activity in your heart and mind, make certain that is the main work and focus in your life!
From that direction emerged a verse in my mind:
Matthew 6:19-21 (NASB1995) “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
At first, I was a bit confused, because it seemed as if the verse didn’t ‘connect’ with the direction. But it turns out it is very related. Divine activity is the true treasure that I must ‘collect’ in order to grow and increase more and more. If I had seen that Divine activity as the true treasure, then I would have been willing to die, to believe in God even when it doesn’t make sense, and willing to let go of everything for Him
Matthew 13:44-46 (NASB1995) “The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found and hid again; and from joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking fine pearls, and upon finding one pearl of great value, he went and sold all that he had and bought it.”
The Holy Spirit continues to emphasize that the time has come and will come when this divine activity will touch the lives of many people. That is the outpouring of the Spirit from the Highest that radiates from those who focus on divine activity (the reality of God). The outpouring on all people will occur through us.
Acts 2:17 (NKJV) “And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams.”
Not just that, the continuation of the restoration of all things by God’s love and power will flow through our lives!
Acts 3:6-8 (NKJV) Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God.
I already feel like I’ve seen the moment above happening soon and shaking city after city!
Isaiah 66:6-7 (NIV) Hear that uproar from the city, hear that noise from the temple! It is the sound of the Lord repaying his enemies all they deserve. “Before she goes into labor, she gives birth; before the pains come upon her, she delivers a son.
However, at the same time, we must be prepared for controversy and confrontation. We can’t avoid this. But a heart that loves God will keep us firm and conquer death!
