Bearing Fruit Hundredfold: Manifestation of God’s Sovereignty

Matthew 13:23, 31-32 (NIV) But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.” He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.”

Bearing fruit hundredfold speaks about the manifestation of God’s sovereignty upon our lives. From the smallest seed becoming a big tree. From a nobody, lifted up by God to become a person who manifests the sovereignty of God Himself. For example, Abram. Who was Abram that God made him to be the father of believers? From a former idol worshipper, not even a faithful man to his wife. But God never regretted His choice, He continued to build through the work of the Spirit and the Word to change Abram’s life to become Abraham!

The same thing will happen to us, the manifestation of God’s sovereignty will become very evident to us! There are things that the Holy Spirit reminds of when interacting with God’s sovereignty:

Often we think to ‘become perfect’ and then we are worthy to be ‘lifted up’ by God, this is the problem, when speaking of God’s sovereignty, it has nothing ‘to do’ with our past and present existence, but rather with God’s own needs. We all know that there is no special ‘classification’ in God’s sovereign work, what God needs are people who are ‘WILLING’ first. The rest of the work of the Spirit and Word will be sent by God to continue to build faith that overcomes the world in his life. Look at Gideon, he was a coward, but God came into his life and used him with only 300 troops to defeat the Midianites. So we should not feel small, unworthy, let alone imperfect. Just focus on loving God and doing His will, the rest is God’s sovereignty that will work over us!

When God speaks, actually the Word has already happened. We will see ‘the whole universe’ will work to fulfill the Word of our lives. The Spirit will give confidence within us, so that we can be sure and understand how God works.

Isaiah 55:10-11 (NIV) As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Romans 8:28 (NIV) And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose.
Enjoy how the entire universe works in the engineering His words to condition,
support and make your life ‘worthy of appearing’ on this world’s stage.

The focus of our life must remain attached and unite with Him. Don’t be distracted by the work of the enemy who wants to make us ‘disconnected’ from the reality of God. Usually inner conflicts, fears, and worries become the enemy’s weapons to attack us. Make sure we continue to overflow with love and forgiveness, also the spirit of faith in Him. When we continue to focus on uniting with His presence, automatically, anytime and anywhere, His
sovereignty will manifest over us. For He is in us and we in Him! Amen
