When I learned to always wait actively on God, then I found the ‘process’ to be more ‘enjoyable’. The Holy Spirit brings into the dimension of knowing the Father. Suddenly I felt the presence of a father who seemed to invite his son to ‘play’ by ‘hiding himself’. Maybe this sounds strange to some people, but that is one of the characteristics of the Father in heaven which is indeed very pleasing.
I learned something from this understanding, that His presence is also such a happy place. We can laugh with joy in our efforts to encounter the existence of God and His reality.
In growing our existence as believers, we need to know our Father in heaven. He is not a scary or frightening figure, yet very fun. But that doesn’t mean He can be played with, He doesn’t allow Himself to be played with. He will treat His children according to the inclinations of the heart that His children have.
2 Samuel 22:21-27 (NKJV) “The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me. For I have kept the ways of the Lord, and have not wickedly departed from my God. For all His judgments were before me; and as for His statutes, I did not depart from them. I was also blameless before Him, and I kept myself from my iniquity. Therefore the Lord has recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to my cleanness in His eyes. “With the merciful You will show Yourself merciful; with a blameless man You will show Yourself blameless;
I came to understand that it is very important these days that we give time to linger in God’s reality. That’s God’s favorite moment. Don’t give up on our condition when we wake up in the morning. Continue to urge in His presence, focus our thoughts, get up from bed immediately, and show an expression of longing to meet Him.
It may take minutes to experience the grip of the Father’s reality, but keep holding on. Because suddenly the Father will hug us tightly and at that moment we will be strengthened, refreshed and revived. Only with a touch and a hug from the Father, our lives will experience changes.
It is the will of the Father to live together within us. Our part is only to love His Word and follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Immediately we will experience the full reality of the Father touching and living within us.
John 14:23 (NKJV) Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.
That is our glory as children of God, namely the reality of the Father that is real to us. This condition will make us manifest the Father’s love which restores many people in our daily lives.
Matthew 5:9 (NKJV) Blessed are the peacemakers, or they shall be called sons of God.
