Romans 8:28 (NKJV) And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
In prayer, the Holy Spirit reveals even more the meaning of the verse above, especially in the sentence ‘God also works’. So far, my understanding is still very outwardly, even though the meaning of the verse is DIVINE ACTIVITY that we feel and experience in our hearts. Observe the following verses:
Romans 8:25-26 (NKJV) But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance. Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
The problem is, when we face negative data and facts, the enemy attracts our attention to focus on external things. No wonder humanity and flesh also often manifest from us. In fact, God wants us to pay attention to divine activity and focus on building it up inside.
Divine activity is the work of the Spirit and the Word that occurs in our hearts on an ongoing basis as a result of our response, which is to always pursue God, meditate and speak His Word diligently.
So, how important it is for us to focus diligently in terms of building divine activity in every situation that exists. If we succeed in increasing the divine activity within us (thirsty and hunger for God’s reality), then no matter what we are facing, we ‘NOW KNOW GOD IS WORKING’ to bring goodness to us.
Let’s change our perspective on the phrase “we know now”. It’s not a passive sentence, it’s active! There is something that must happen in our minds, not just believing, our minds must experience divine activity.
So, from now on we must build a different lifestyle, namely focusing on building divine activity. Because in principle, what happens in the spiritual realm is what will manifest in the outer realm! The more active we are in building divine activity, the more we will experience God’s sovereign power to change all bad circumstances to bring goodness into our lives!
