Joshua 1:7-9 (NIV) “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
The verse above continues to speak strongly in my heart, especially in the phrase that says: ‘be strong and strengthen your heart’.
Like it or not, when we are in this world there will always be things that can weaken us in believing the Word and our journey with God. There are many collisions in life that we will have and potentially make us swerve or retreat from the journey of destiny.
If we do not respond correctly, then our lives will become eminently humane. So, we need to strengthen our hearts that are prone to be afflicted and weak for one reason or another. Be aware, strengthening or entrenching our hearts again to keep believing in His Word is our own responsibility, because God has put power in our mouths – Proverbs 18:20-21.
So, when we are facing things that make us afraid, just remember God’s promises and use our mouths actively and aggressively to declare the Word we receive. Never delay doing this. Anyway, in critical situations and intense wars, speak the Word with all your heart, soul, and strength until our spirits are lifted up and our hearts are firm again to walk in faith believing in Him!
For quite some time this ‘power of speech’ wanted to be covered up by the evil one from believers. Those who use this power are the people who pursue money and success, while we just keep quiet letting the wicked rule the nation. This is the time for us to build our lives with the power of words. From praying in the spirit aggressively to contemplating and speaking the Word, we must do it profoundly.
Make it a divine lifestyle, then we will experience the POWER OF GOD’S SOVEREIGNTY will be with our lives. The laws of nature will no longer apply to us, our lives will be brought by His Spirit beyond all names that can be named. We live in God’s world. That is our true habit, which is the reality of His presence.
Be persistent in building our lives by the work of the Spirit and the Word (use our mouths to pray in the spirit and declare the Word) then our lives will surely overcome the world! God’s kingdom will be glorified and reign forever on this earth. We will rule like how the Kings rule (only by speaking) because we are indeed children from the King of kings. Earth has been set as the territory of the Kingdom of Heaven where we, His children, rule (Genesis 1:26-27).
