Psalm 51:6 (NKJV) Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.
This morning I did a ‘search’ of my heart, is there still truth within me? Especially with regard to ‘what motivation’ is in me? Calmly and quietly and focused on the presence of God, I found that what my heart desires is ‘knowledge of God’. It turned out to be nothing else. That is my passion and the direction of my life. And with all my heart, soul and strength, I will continue to maintain the purity of my heart.
Jeremiah 17:9-10 (NKJV) “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; Who can know it? I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.
There are many people especially in the world of ministry who continue to pursue the spot for preaching, fame, anointing, and great things that can amaze many people. Even the pursuit of success, wealth, and treasure. But I found, there is not the slightest desire in my heart to pursue it all. For some reason, this heart’s satisfaction is only when you get to know God, be it in daily life, living fellowship with God, and also reading the Word.
Psalm 19:8 (NKJV) The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
I don’t know why and it’s hard to explain, it turns out to be true, that God’s Word which was revealed by the Holy Spirit (given understanding) is something that really pleases the heart. And keep purifying the heart. As well as making our eyes see clearly the ways of life that please God’s heart.
It turns out to be very good, happy, and light when our hearts only pursue the knowledge of God (unite with God’s existence). Many people’s lives become heavy, struggle a lot, and become lethargic, because they have many desires. Even if you get everything you want, in the end you will also experience ‘death’. So, everything he gets is useless.
I want to lead a different direction of life from the ‘standard of life that the world offers’. I want to live only to pursue the knowledge of God, and I want to live only from His Word to gain true ETERNITY on this earth and reign forever with Him!
Matthew 11:27-30 (NKJV) All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
John 6:63 (NKJV) It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
John 5:24 (NKJV) “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.
Psalm 37:34 (NKJV) Wait on the Lord, and keep His way, and He shall exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.
