God keeps reminding me: “It takes a revival and restoration of all things to accomplish the goals that God has set in this spiritual journey. And in this spiritual journey, we are actually like a runner on a ‘marathon’ track, so it is a long journey.”
The ‘restoration of all things’ is determined by how quickly we are ‘prepared’, but the Holy Spirit again reminds us that true readiness is also determined by how patient and mature we are in going through the process that God has set.
The Holy Spirit gives the verse below as a rule to go through the process of life.
1 Thessalonians 5:15-22 (NIV) Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else. Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not treat prophecies with contempt but test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil.
1. Guard our hearts with all vigilance.
We have been given forgiveness by God from all sins. Hence we are able to respond to all ‘frictions, conflicts, and clashes’ with a heart that is easy to forgive and forget other’s mistakes!
Have faith that life will be much lighter if our hearts are free from all forms of inner conflict! Inner conflict makes life difficult and even makes us reluctant to live life. The devil always takes opportunities in this area to stop us and make it hard for us to live our lives. Therefore, don’t be fooled! Every time we start to feel angry, disappointed, annoyed, vengeful, or our emotions go in a negative direction, then it must come from the devil. Immediately take action to submit yourself to God (release forgiveness), so the devil will flee away from us!
2. Rejoice always.
We need to condition our hearts to remain joyful in all circumstances. This is indeed a life that is not just ‘against the current’, but creates a new current amid a world full of sorrow, anger, and hatred. How could It not, just because of a ‘trivial matter’ people can lose joy. If this continues to happen in the life of a believer, then instead of delivering transformation, we will become persons who emit bitterness!
I came to understand that we are verily a SPIRITUAL PORTAL. All beings and various spiritual dimensions can manifest themselves through our lives! Thus, make sure we always associate or interact with God, then JOY will immediately manifest from within us. With whom we associate will determine what we are like. Make certain we associate with the HOLY SPIRIT as the only source of joy. He is real. Our part is to keep communicating and thinking about the things of the Spirit! Naturally, true joy will shine through us!!
3. Pray without ceasing.
Keep our fellowship with God in all circumstances. Make sure every day there is prayer time (alone with God) and respond to everything with prayer. Remember, the prayer of the righteous is powerful! So, why use another method if we already know that prayer has greater power to change everything? Be a true prayer!
4. Be grateful in all circumstances.
This is not only practiced by believers, even non-believers do it. So don’t let our gratitude level be below average. Should be more overflowing! We even have to keep looking for reasons to be grateful in all circumstances, because there are definitely things we can be grateful for every single day.
For example, when we wake up in the morning and are able to breathe is enough for us to be grateful. So there is a myriad of reasons to be grateful. Thus, our lives will continue to bring a ‘positive aura’ that will refresh the lives of others we interact with.
5. Make sure our spirit continues to be blazed (building our inner man becomes a permanent lifestyle).
Praying in the spirit, declaring and imagining the Word, and worshiping until our spirits are stirred, all of these will condition our spirits to be ablaze. We will be brought by the Holy Spirit to stand before God and reign with Him in our everyday lives.
6. Continue to focus only on what God says.
Focus on the identity that God has set and our function and role in the movement.
Make sure we consistently do the 6 things above in our ‘marathon journey’ of life. Thus, our lives will always be ‘kept entirely preserved’ in all circumstances. Healthy, strong, and powerful! Amen.
