God always has a goal to visit His people, both personally and corporately. The supernatural experience between us and God must not end for us personally. We can learn from the story below.
Matthew 17:1-8 (NKJV) Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light. And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!” And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were greatly afraid. But Jesus came and touched them and said, “Arise, and do not be afraid.” When they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only.
Matthew 17:14-18 (NKJV) And when they had come to the multitude, a man came to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying, “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. So I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not cure him.” Then Jesus answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.” And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour.
An interesting story and very self-reflective of us that every time we experience God’s touch, we always want to make TABERNACLE like Peter. Petrus focused on building external things. He thinks that the reality of glory wants and can live in an external ‘TABERNACLE’.
That is the mind of believers who still think that God will live within the four walls of churches, denominations, and various other associations. No, God wants to live in us. Because the truth is, we are GOD’S TABERNACLES.
God is not interested in the ‘TABERNACLE’ formed by man. Surely it reeks of the flesh, love of self, love of money, and love of the world. Meanwhile, the TABERNACLE of GOD is only built by the work of the Spirit and the Word which smells of the fragrance of Christ. That is who we are built in such a way that it is no longer us who live, but Christ who lives in us.
God’s corporate visits that occur in a worship service must enter into daily life. Because our true life is the TABERNACLE of GOD itself which must be among them (other people who are in a condition of being bound and full of sorrow due to the work of death).
God not only wants to manifest His reality to us, but He wants to live in us. It is from within us that the manifestation of His divinity radiates out. All we have to do is guard the hearts that love Him with all our might.
John 14:23 (NKJV) Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.
1. Keep pressing on God’s reality until He speaks. Do not stop praying until our spiritual man is burning with the work of His Spirit.
2. Imagine the Word that we receive (imagine ourselves to be doers of the Word) and be determined to do it in our daily lives.
3. Rub every promise of God (imagine we experience the fulfillment of God’s promises) while praying in the spirit and declaring the Word. Do this until inside we can feel His reality gripping our hearts and minds.
4. Continue to linger in His reality until God Himself ‘informs’ inside that it is time for us to enter into the activities of daily life to bring and manifest the various divine dimensions that already exist within us.
5. Ensure that in daily life the need for God’s reality is maintained. This will increase the strength of the intensity of God’s presence within us. And bring us into a momentum of encounter with people who are the target of the outpouring of the Spirit. From within we will radiate a sense of need for God which makes them feel the same way and experience the encounter with God within us.
