This morning I ask the Holy Spirit even more fervently, a heart that is thirsty and hungry for the Word with an even stronger level of hunger. Not only do I like it, but ‘addicted’.
Several verses appear and become material for declarations to increase the level of addiction in my heart:
Romans 8:5 (NIV) Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.
Ezekiel 3:1-3 (NIV) And he said to me, “Son of man, eat what is before you, eat this scroll; then go and speak to the people of Israel.” So I opened my mouth, and he gave me the scroll to eat. Then he said to me, “Son of man, eat this scroll I am giving you and fill your stomach with it.” So I ate it, and it tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth.
Jeremiah 15:16 (NIV) When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, Lord God Almighty.
Psalms 1:2-3 (NIV) but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.
Psalms 119:103-105 (NIV) How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! I gain understanding from your precepts; therefore I hate every wrong path. Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
As I continue to speak the Word above, I find that my heart that loves God is getting blazed and resulting a new life-giving ‘moments’ in my life! This is a moment of intimacy with God. So wherever I am, when God wants to interact with me, there is no obstacle for me to immediately unite myself in living fellowship with Him. Through His Word, I will continue to live in His presence as my true habitat. It is there that I will also rule by the authority of His Word with Him!
Psalms 33:4-11 (NIV) For the word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does. The Lord loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love. By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth. He gathers the waters of the sea into jars; he puts the deep into storehouses. Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the people of the world revere him. For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm. The Lord foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.”
