Often the stories of heroes of faith written in the Bible are just stories that we read without experiencing the sovereign power of God working as they did.

In the book of Hebrews 11 it is clearly written how by faith they have become living witnesses to experience the reality of God’s existence and continue to work in their lives. From the stories of Enoch, Noah, Moses, Joseph, Gideon, etc., they all prove that God is awesome and miraculous. Without us realizing it, we just become readers, there is no longer a ‘desire to experience the same thing’, we even consider it impossible for this to happen to us.

How can we be lifted up like Enoch? How can we do great things diligently like Noah did with only a handful of people? How can we be accompanied by God’s miraculous handiwork like when destroying Egypt in the time of Moses? Or what happened to Gideon when he destroyed the Midianites with just 300 people?

I feel we need to dismantle the mold of the world which has so far undermined our knowledge of God because of the mindset formed by this world which is only focused on ‘self’. We are made to only think about how to live, have money, be successful, and die to go to heaven.

No wonder there are many unfinished problems in our lives, from one problem to another. We are not in the center of God’s will, that is the problem. Our worship we do is also for one purpose so that God ‘solves our problems’. As a result, ‘our inner eyes’ are closed. We cannot see the great call that God has set, and we only ‘demand’ God without any gift of life that we do for the fulfillment of His plan.

I am increasingly convinced that we need an introduction to God, but not for ‘our agenda’, no! But for the fulfillment of God’s plan. Attitude and motivation or inclination of the heart will greatly determine what will come within us.

Continue to guard a thirsty and hungry heart for His Word. Make sure it keeps stirring up. Use every Word we receive as material for prayer, declarations, and imagination until our spirits are burning.

Thus, the Holy Spirit will build our lives in the knowledge of the same God and the divine dimensions and intensity that have been awakened in the fellowship of heroes of faith with God. This is what allows us to experience the same God’s sovereignty, which has worked in the lives of heroes of faith!

Jeremiah 15:16 (NKJV) Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; for I am called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts.

The word “Your name”, in Hebrew, is written as: Shêm, which can be translated as follows:

a. Reputation, fame, glory

b. Memorial, monument

In other words, “knowledge” of God’s name is a “spiritual monument” that is “built” by certain people who experience the reality of God in certain conditions in their lives.

There is no other way to live in God’s sovereignty and power than to live only by His Word. Stop looking for other alternatives to life apart from His Word alone! Because only by faith, we will overcome the world!
