1 Timothy 4:1-2 (NKJV) Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron

Timothy’s challenge in leading the Ephesus congregation is the ‘other teaching’ that grows in the midst of the congregation. This teaching comes from people who used to follow Paul then became apostate and left even against Paul and then claimed to be apostles (Revelation 2:2).

1 Timothy 1:19-20 (NKJV) having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck, of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I delivered to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme.

Once again, the Spirit emphasized, these are people who ‘want to find a stage to be the messenger of the Word in the midst of the congregation’. I found that a preacher does have a very large position of influence in the lives of many people. So, it’s no wonder that deceiving spirits also form and mold preachers and provide a stage for them! The spirit of ambition will be instilled to ‘enter and take advantage of the movement’ in order to obtain a position and stage that can make them speak on behalf of the ‘movement’. It’s dangerous!

Timothy’s task is to ‘kill’ the deceiving spirits and unhealthy and lying teachings that exist in ambitious people among the people. Those people rejected the conscience that led them to die of all personal ambition while in the midst of the movement!

I feel that God, who is the LEADER OF THE FRONT MOVEMENT and the OWNER of the MOVEMENT in the last days, is cleansing His people from all kinds of personal ambitions. The potential ‘danger’ in the future will be ‘executed’ by God at this time. The spirit of Timothy will be God’s weapon to cleanse the movement of all spirits of unhealthy ambition and teaching!
