Overcoming Spiritual Warfare: A Powerful Prayer for Victory

When I was driving the car, suddenly my spirit seemed to be ‘stung’ by something and became excited, immediately the spirit of prayer enveloped my heart. The Holy Spirit then led me to pray for the congregation: “All the works of the enemy who want to ‘steal, kill and destroy’, I break and destroy in the name of Jesus! Break all distraction influences, in the name of Jesus! God’s people focus again on God’s will, and believe in God controlling all things!”

Immediately I felt a war going on within the spirit. It was as if the Holy Spirit showed that there were many of the congregations who were at war. So, I keep saying that they are people who are more than conquerors and never give up. I destroy all the fiery darts of the evil one in the name of Jesus. The congregation has God’s protection, mercy, and faithfulness that protects it like a thick shield.

Psalms 91:4-7 (TB) He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you.

I kept saying the words until I felt relief and peace surrounding my mind. The war was short but very fierce, and I have confidence that the church has been victorious in the face of anything. The congregation’s spiritual position can no longer go down, but instead continues to rise because it keeps holding on to the truth and God’s promises!

Proverbs 4:18 (NKJV) But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.

Romans 16:19-20 (TLB) But everyone knows that you stand loyal and true. This makes me very happy. I want you always to remain very clear about what is right and to stay innocent of any wrong. The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The blessings from our Lord Jesus Christ be upon you.

My prayer this morning, may the spirit that depends on God and His Word increasingly dominate the hearts of the congregation, so that they can experience God’s real sovereignty!!

1 Chronicles 16:14-15 (TLB) He is the Lord our God! His authority is seen throughout the earth. Remember his covenant forever—The words he commanded to a thousand generations:

Exodus 34:10 (NKJV) And He said: “Behold, I make a covenant. Before all your people I will do marvels such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the Lord. For it is an awesome thing that I will do with you.

It’s hard to describe and explain how it feels, like the feeling of a child who immediately recognizes the presence of his father who is near him.
