Who can revoke God’s decision in choosing Abram to be the father of believers? Even though he was an idol worshipper, he did not even acknowledge Sarah as his wife twice. God did not annul His choice even though Abram’s behavior were far from people who lived godly lives.
Who can reject God’s decision in choosing Gideon who was a coward to be the war leader of the Israelites when they defeated the Midianites?
Who can cross out Samson’s name from the Bible as God’s Nazirite who behaved like a wicked person, but was used by God to defeat more Philistines at the end of his life?
Who can argue with God who highly favorited David and always makes him an example among other kings? Even though David had many wives and his household was very messy.
God’s question and statement above is a picture of the embodiment of GOD’S SOVEREIGNTY. That is God with His existence and His decisions that cannot be contested and inviolable. Even when we feel that God is unfair, even that cannot change God’s existence as a God who is just.
He is God with all His decisions, and we are humans who ‘cannot fully explore God’s mind’ He has set ourselves from nobody, maybe unbecoming, even look down upon because so small, but the power of God’s sovereignty will bring us to be bearers of the manifestation of God’s sovereignty itself.
Matthew 13:31-32 (NIV) He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. 32 Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.”
When we interact with God’s sovereignty, there will be many things that are beyond human reason that God will provide and do through us for the sake of His kingdom!!
But what we need to remember is: In His sovereignty God can use anyone, but we must guard a heart that loves God and a life that pleases God’s heart. Because it’s useless for us to be used by God in remarkably but our lives don’t please His heart!
He could use a donkey to rebuke Balaam, but what is the difference between us and donkeys if we are not accompanied by a life that pleases God!!
I believe, the moment of God’s sovereignty is being entered by us. I am determined to continue guarding a heart that loves God! The rest is God’s part only! He is the one who will arrange for special situations and events for me to appear on this stage of this world to manifest the reality of His Kingdom!#ILoveGod
