Oftentimes we encounter life’s condition that is full of dilemma due to the wrong decisions we made in the past. As a result, there are a lot of ‘complicated’ situations
even full of consequences that we have to deal with. This is where the enemy makes
“foothold” to attack and weaken our faith. It is definitely not easy, there will be a lot of
“prayers that are mixed with humanly cries out that is sparked from within our hearts.
There is trust but also fear, disappointment, and perhaps regret. In short, we need
God’s sovereignty that intervenes our lives.

Obviously the first thing that we must pay attention is we don’t have to run from negative facts and data that we have to live in, face it as a responsible person of the decision that we made, whether it’s the right or wrong decisions. This is a first step for us to sow in truth.

Psalm 126:5-6 (NIV) Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy,
carrying sheaves with them. Furthermore, have faith and believe that God works in all condition and circumstances to bring about what is good. Our part is to STAY FOCUS ONLY TO GOD. Keep a heart that loves God and keeps on moving forward in doing God’s will. The enemy will attempt to make us “turn around” but never give up, continue to do God’s will. Therefore, we will see the intervention of God’s sovereignty that is very evident.

Romans 8:28 (NIV) And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose.

Lastly, keep our mouth, make sure that we say things that are true and come from a
loving heart. Because our words are in fact really powerful. Observe David’s statements
in the book of Psalm chapter 3, in a very dilemmatic condition where he had to fight
Absalom, his own son. David said a prayer that is mixed with humanly anger.

Psalm 3:7 (NIV) Arise, Lord! Deliver me, my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked.

David expressed his anger with his mouth. For a while we thought it was a normal
prayer but actually it’s not. Because what he said is what really happened. Absalom
died and David was very remorseful.

From this we learn to be careful with our words when we are in negative mood or
emotion. It can backfire to us. Use our mouth to keep blessing, in all situations and
circumstances, and say God’s promise.

That is our weapon to knock back the enemy and to bring the reality of God’s
sovereignty. Use our mouth to be the WEAPON OF TRUTH!
