God’s Living Army: Gathering the Divine Callings to Change the World
‘Awareness of the need for God’ often ‘disappears or decreases in level’, not when conditions are ‘not doing well’, but when we are blessed, have positions, and possess many things. Those who are in difficulties tend to realize quicker that they need God Who is able to help them.
In contrast to Moses, he had an affluent background, a high position, and was very comfortable, nevertheless, he preferred to pursue God. He perceived God to be far more precious than all the treasures and glory of Egypt.
Hebrews 11:24-27 (NASB1995 ) By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to endure ill-treatment with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, considering the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward. By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured, as seeing Him who is unseen.
From the story of Moses, I do learn several things:
1. These days we need to ask God for ‘faith like Moses’s. ‘
Amid the condition of this age that continue to mold people to pursue wealth and a hedonistic lifestyle, we need to bring a quality of faith that ‘overcome these conditions’. So that the eyes of our hearts are fixed only on God and the fulfillment of His plan! That is the only inner SATISFACTION we desire. We know for certain, without the reality of God and the fulfillment of His plans, our lives are meaningless.
2. The quality of the seed of faith that Moses had was the fruit of planting by his parents!
Exodus 2:8-10 (NASB1995) Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, “Go ahead.” So the girl went and called the child’s mother. Then Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, “Take this child away and nurse him for me and I will give you your wages.” So the woman took the child and nursed him. The child grew, and she brought him to Pharaoh’s daughter and he became her son. And she named him Moses, and said, “Because I drew him out of the water.”
Never underestimate the process of covering, especially from spiritual parents who carry DIVINE SEEDS, because that is the seed of FAITH THAT OVERCOMES THE WORLD! I continue to be grateful for I got ‘the seed’ from a person who loves God. We need spiritual parents who carry seeds that overcome the world. The seed was never wasted, despite the fact that for many years Moses lived in Pharaoh’s palace, but in God’s time, the seed gave rise to itself.
Acts 7:23 (NIV) When Moses was forty years old, he decided to visit his own people, the Israelites.
I believe that the Spirit is ceaselessly moving to bring forth a generation that is separated from this world, a generation that will give itself to be nurtured and ready to be ‘planted’ with the divine seed!
3. When the true Word has been planted in our hearts, and we realize our true identity in Him (John 1), then we will become ‘properties’ of the Kingdom of Heaven.
God will not let us ‘miss from His plan’. He will seek and find us in His supernatural ways to bring us back to walk in His calling!
Exodus 3:1-2 (NIV) Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up.
I suddenly saw in the Spirit: There was a band of God’s soldiers walking from all over to gather as one column of God’s living army. They are people who have been carrying divine callings but were ‘lost’ for one reason or another. However, they experience a supernatural encounter with God again and get them back in the movement that will change the world! Amen!
