In contemplation at night, I let my mind question and answer freely about life, and at the same time, I opened my heart for the Holy Spirit to give me understanding:

1. Why does life have many mysteries? It is like unexpected bad events may happen, even hard to predict.

Truly, there is not a single event that startles God. He knew even before it occurred, because He is Omniscient God, knows everything that will happen. Like it or not, He is God who has the power to allow all good or bad events that men will experience.

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭1‬:‭17‬-‭18‬ ‭(NASB1995‬‬) When I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man. And He placed His right hand on me, saying, “Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last, and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.”

The key word in living this life is “DO NOT BE AFRAID”. Because whatever will happen, God is always in control of everything.

2. Then will we experience bad events? Assuredly, we don’t need to be afraid.

We need to follow the example of Jesus who experienced many bad events: Hit by storms and waves, betrayed by His own disciples, denied by Peter, tortured till death on the cross, and so on. Did Jesus has inner conflict and did His emotions become negative after experiencing all of these events? Not in the least!

Many people have ruined lives because they thought that the ‘bad events’ they had is the main cause, whereas the destruction they experienced was not due to external factors but rather the ‘negative feelings’ that are allowed to grow in their hearts. It is like a great and heavy ship on the ocean, but it will not sink. However, because of a leak, water began to enter and drag it down until it sink.

Never take the bad events that happen in our lives to ‘enter’ our hearts, because this is what ruins our life! If Jesus could not live in inner conflict, then we can also experience the same thing and we can know for certain that all bad things that happen always bring good for us!

Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭28‬ ‭(NASB1995‬‬) And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

‭‭3. How can we know that the Father designs good things? Definitely from our own Father and from the connectedness we’ve built with Him.

A true child certainly knows His Father and knows everything is in the control and design of the Father who never plans anything bad.

Jeremiah‬ ‭29‬:‭11‬ ‭(NET‬‬) “For I know what I have planned for you,’ says the Lord. ‘I have plans to prosper you, not to harm you. I have plans to give you a future filled with hope.”

‭‭This should be our measure of faith that FATHER ONLY HAS PEACE PLANS, NOT A CALAMITY, AND HE HAS DESIGNED A GLORIOUS FUTURE. Apart from it is not from the Father. Whatever bad experiences we have as humans, surely the Father did not plan bad things because He set everything very well (Genesis 1).

Just make sure we receive the Word every day from living fellowship with Him. The Word will put us in the position and dimension of His divinity that makes us see how powerful and great God works behind all events. This is what makes us always radiate life from within and be connected to eternity which swallows death in victory.
