We must be aware of the menace of distraction. Never think it is normal to not receive the word of God, and lose peace and joy. Be cautious of annoyance, anger, or exasperation towards people, situations, and circumstances. It is a ‘bait’ from the enemy to pull us out of focus on the reality of God and His will, to turn to ‘wars’ that we shouldn’t get into.
For so long we think it is natural that we continue fighting demons that bother us. However, that cannot continue to happen, God wants us to reign and rule nevertheless, because the war has been won and now is the time for us to sit on the throne with Christ!
Psalms 110:1-2 (NASB1995) The Lord says to my Lord: “Sit at My right hand Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.” The Lord will stretch forth Your strong scepter from Zion, saying, “Rule in the midst of Your enemies.”
The reason we continue to fight with difficulty is that we are lulled by the ‘fine’ life. Without even knowing, we let ourselves be lost in the feeling of ‘not needing God’. For we think everything is fine, and no need to be ‘insistant’ in pursuing God.
As a result, our prayer time is greatly reduced and read the Word blandly. Hence when the time of war, we don’t rule but are pressured by the enemy. Whereas we are supposed to just speak as a person who sits on the throne. Yet that cannot be realized because our spiritual position and spiritual muscles are in a weak state, aka untrained!
This is the time we start to train ourselves seriously even in peacetime. Remember, the time of peace is a time to crazily train to build inner man! Thus, when there are negative data and facts that the Devil wants to manipulate to ‘steal, kill, and destroy’ us, then at that moment we only need to speak or order, and everything will immediately calm down and be peaceful! In fact, we can see God working in everything to bring goodness.
Why can we easily lose peace and joy? Because our spiritual position is under. If we are above and reign with Him, then our mood should be full of peace and joy!
Colossians 3:15 (NASB1995) Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful.
Romans 16:20 (NKJV) And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
This morning I realized that from the beginning we were ordained or designed to rule and reign. Not to be battered in battle! The devil, sin, and death have been conquered by Christ, our part is to train to build inner man earnestly in times of peace.
Therefore, we will live in Him and reign with Him. Just speak the words – the enemy will run away from us. Every day we can enjoy the unshakable peace and joy of victory in doing God’s will!
