Matthew 12:43-45 (NIV) When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.”
Why have humans become more and more evil these days? Because many people have empty lives, without the reality of God. They try to fill the void with external things. Look fine, happy, even successful. Yet their lives are far from living in communion with God.
They are the ones the devil will use to manifest demonic traits, not a few of them are believers! They’re believers whose lives are empty without the Word and dry without streams of living water!
But God will not remain silent, He will change the spiritual dryness to become full of splendor of God’s reality.
Isaiah 51:3 (NIV) The Lord will surely comfort Zion and will look with compassion on all her ruins; he will make her deserts like Eden, her wastelands like the garden of the Lord. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the sound of singing.
Isaiah 40:3-5 (NIV) A voice of one calling: “In the wilderness prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all people will see it together. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”
1. God cannot fail in His plan.
He has ordained believers to be the temple of His Holy Spirit. Even though many believers have given up on their own dry and hopeless situation, the faithful God is still moving to condition and turn the circumstances around to bring goodness!!
2. The voice of God has been released.
Those who cry out to God will be connected to that sound frequency. Hence, their lives will be restored by God. From dry to overflowing with the water of life!
3. If we remember those who have been dry, confused, and even against God’s ways, they are indeed in the desert!
Pray for them! God will also be present for those in the desert and change all their circumstances to be full of the splendor of God’s reality!
Never give up with world conditions that ‘look even worse’, because God is a great God! He will miraculously change the situation! Our part is to continue to emit streams of living water in abundance and pray for those who are dry! And continue to live life with joy, because God has planned a HAPPY ENDING!
