In addition to our existence as a vessel (soil of the heart) to receive seeds from the sower, in fact we are also ‘sowers’ who are sowing attitudes or actions that will surely bring forth a harvest. I found that there is another type of sowing that really determines our lives, namely the MOOD sowing.
If someone continues to be controlled by anger, getting easily angry, annoyed, sad, disappointed, then all of that is a type of sowing that will make him reap growth that cannot be maximized. Because in his heart there is always ‘war or conflict’!
As we know, war zones always experience a lot of destruction. People in such conditions will find it difficult to build, reprimand, or correct, because they think they are right while those around them are wrong.
Of course, we don’t want that kind of life, which is very self-defeating. We certainly want ourselves to sow the divine. Pay attention, there is something that will make us grow, which is the sowing of peace!
Zachary 8:11-12 (NKJV) But now I will not treat the remnant of this people as in the former days,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘FOR THE SEED SHALL BE PROSPEROUS, THE VINE SHALL GIVE ITS FRUIT, THE GROUND SHALL GIVE HER INCREASE, AND THE HEAVENS SHALL GIVE THEIR DEW—I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these.
There are two things that I should pay attention to in my daily life:
1. Guarding the mind to continue to be in divine peace.
How to condition it? Believe me, that everything that happens, even the ‘bad things’, are all under the control of God who makes everything good!
This is the unchangeable nature of God. From the time He created the earth and its contents, He has designed everything to be good. So, we don’t need to be upset in this life, just believe, and direct the eyes of our hearts to the goodness that He has provided. Hence, even in the midst of a storm we can still be grateful and even rejoice.
In the midst of the spiritual revival that God is working on, peace and joy that are full within us will be used by God as healing medicine for those who were ruined by evil days and difficult times.
Our lives will be a solution for many people. Just make sure that every morning we are controlled by the Word (reading the Word and praying about it) until the rivers of living water gush profusely from within us.
Ezekiel 47:12 (NKJV) Along the bank of the river, on this side and that, will grow all kinds of trees used for food; their leaves will not wither, and their fruit will not fail. They will bear fruit every month, because their water flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for medicine.”
2. Continue to set our hearts to sow peace and do not grow weary in doing good.
Galatians 6:8-10 (NKJV) For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.
Look for opportunities to do good, even to those who do evil to us. It is our nature as children of God.
Matthew 5:9 (NKJV) Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
Romans 8:18-21 (NKJV) For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
The restoration of all things is ‘in our hands’, that is the seed of peace that we must sow every day! Then, surely, we will reap the restoration of all things! Amen!
