The Book of Joel 2:1-11.
God is raising up a ‘new generation’ from the midst of the spiritual family that He has on this earth. They are the ‘product’ of the formation of a spiritual father. They inherit the duplication of spirit from their spiritual father so there are many phenomenal impacts that they produce.
1. This generation lives in the reality of the power of the Spirit and receives grace to expose all the lies of Satan (Joel 2:3).
Joel 2:3 (NKJV) A fire devours before them, and behind them a flame burns; the land is like the Garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; surely nothing shall escape them.
God will use this generation to reveal His divine lifestyle and the power of His truth so that automatically all of Satan’s lies and wrong lifestyles (but so far considered normal by many people), are exposed in an objective and balanced manner. This gives everyone the opportunity to choose what is right and what is useful for their lives.
2. This generation serves in a focused and accurate manner – according to the divine pattern that God has revealed (Joel 2:4).
Joel 2:4 (NKJV) Their appearance is like the appearance of horses; and like swift steeds, so they run.
Trends that are developing in many ‘contemporary churches’ do not interest them anymore. The focus in their lives is only to complete the Father’s will according to the way the Father wants.
3. This generation serves with passion and determination to reach the finish line (Joel 2:5-6).
While there are many people who have walked the ‘same path’, in the end they have failed to keep going with God. They continue to enjoy the work of the power of grace and of the Holy Spirit which condition them to never experience failure in completing the Father’s will.
4. This generation manifests the nature of a true fighter:
a. Conquering all kinds of distractions and deceptions that have been happening in His church (Joel 2:7).
b. Conquering all forms of disorder that have been manifested in daily life and ministry (Joel 2:8a).
c. Conquering all forms of cycles of defeat (Joel 2:8b).
d. Conquering all forms of limitations or obstacles (Joel 2:8c).
e. Conquering all kinds of traps in ministry leadership – there is continuous duplication and multiplication of impact through the lives of the generations below them (Joel 2:8d).
5. This generation does God’s work differently (Joel 2:9-11).
Joel 2:9-11 (NKJV) They run to and from in the city, they run on the wall; they climb into the houses, they enter at the windows like a thief. The earth quakes before them, the heavens tremble; the sun and moon grow dark, and the stars diminish their brightness. The Lord gives voice before His army, for His camp is very great; for strong is the One who executes His word. For the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; who can endure it?
~ What they do in their daily lives and ministry will manifest much of God’s sovereign power.
~ What they do in their daily lives and ministry will overturn the patterns and systems of this world.
