This morning I felt the presence of the Father within me. It’s hard to describe and explain how it feels, like the feeling of a child who immediately recognizes the presence of his father who is near him. From that experience a variety of feelings and beliefs arose within me:
1. God is the Father who gives strength, new enthusiasm, and certain hope.
Isaiah 66:1-2 (NKJV) Thus says the Lord: “Heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool. Where is the house that you will build Me? And where is the place of My rest? For all those things My hand has made, and all those things exist,” says the Lord. “But on this one will I look: On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at My word.
When the Father’s reality becomes real, suddenly we become strong again and full of enthusiasm to keep going to complete His will. Our faith and hope will be whole again for a glorious future with Him.
2. The Father is the One who heals and bandages all wounds of the heart.
Psalms 34:18 (NKJV) The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit.
No matter big or small wounds that occur in our daily lives (whether it’s trauma, great bad events or heavy pressure), all of them can be healed by the touch of the Father. At the same time raising our heads again to always see everything that happens has been ‘conditioned’ by God only to bring good.
3. The Father is One who wants to bestow His love and make us His children who flows His love and peace to as many people as possible.
Matthew 5:9 (NKJV) Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
Matthew 5:44-48 (NKJV) But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your [b]brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.
The verses above are very clear that through us His children, many people can experience an encounter with the Father. The forgiveness and peace that we bring is a portal to their encounter with the Father in heaven.
4. The Father is the One who teaches us to ‘war’.
Psalms 18:32-34 (NKJV) It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me on my high places. He teaches my hands to make war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
Know that the Father is not a ‘soft’ father, He teaches us to fight to conquer all challenges with the power of the Word! Because the Father is also the King, with full authority and sovereignty over all things. He who gives authority to His children to rule and fight by just speaking the words.
He will teach and build our spiritual man to be ‘mighty’ in Him. We become people who never give up and are always optimistic about anything. We believe, if the Father is for us then no one can be against us. Amen.
