Keep your heart pure and aligned with God
In prayer and worship, the Holy Spirit again emphasizes the importance of continuing to align the condition or quality of our heart with the heart of the Father.
Proverbs 4:23 (TLB) Above all else, guard your affections. For THEY INFLUENCE EVERYTHING ELSE IN YOUR LIFE
Proverbs 4:23 (NKJV) Keep your heart with all diligence, For OUT OF IT SPRING THE ISSUES OF LIFE.
I feel that the Holy Spirit is operating my life. There are so many aspects of my heart that unconsciously changes due to interactions with my surroundings or because of what we have had in our daily lives.
Jeremiah 17:9-10 (NIV) The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? “I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.”
Without us realizing it, often our hearts have ‘turned’ and no longer follow God as we should. When the condition or quality of our hearts changes, immediately the matters of life that we face daily will begin to shift. From originally pursuing and prioritizing the Kingdom of Heaven to beginning to be busy with the affairs of daily life – something that in fact the Father himself has guaranteed! From initially we are able to love everyone like Jesus does, but then we start to be picky or even set conditions to love someone.
The condition or quality of our heart is continuously changing, being pulled to become more outwardly, human and fleshly. Father wants us to continue to experience the work of the power of the Word and the Spirit which makes us continue to adopt and inherit the Father’s heart! We shall prioritize what the Father prioritizes, we shall love whoever is loved by the Father and we are determined to be the person the Father wants us to be!
This is the dimension of ‘becoming one with the Father’ that the Holy Spirit is working to make happen in the lives of each of His children! The Holy Spirit wants our lives to be like Jesus, our eldest brother in interacting and representing the Father in His everyday life.
Matthew 6:33 (TSIE2.5) But more than anything else live in a proper and righteously as God’s Kingdom people, and He will give you everything you need.
John 4:34 (NKJV) Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.”
John 5:19 (NET) So Jesus answered them, “I tell you the solemn truth, the Son can do nothing on his own initiative, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, the Son does likewise.”
John 10:30 (NKJV) “I and My Father are one.”
I believe through various revelations of the Word and the work of the Holy Spirit, God is conditioning our lives to have the same qualities or conditions of heart as the Father has: We put whatever He puts first, we love or accept whoever He loves in the same way as if Jesus Himself does, and now He is working through our lives.
