Revelation 8:11 (NIV) : the name of the star is Wormwood.[a] A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.

John 4:13 (NIV) : Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again,

Like it or not, we must admit that everything that this world offers (water or life) everything contains the ‘death element’. When people think ‘flow of life’ of this life is a normal thing then death surely overpower that person. Firmly the Spirit says in my heart not to consider the life that I see in the society as a normal life. Men are being made bitter by the evil one. They are being killed slowly but surely by the system of this world.

Even all the success has become the lure and dreams of many people that will be in vain when death comes.

Proverbs 14:12-13 (NIV) There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death. Even in laughter the heart may ache, and rejoicing may end in grief.

Ecclesiastes 2:11 (NIV) Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve,
everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind; nothing was gained under the sun.

The Holy Spirit teaches in my heart : Pay attention! This world will keep on striving to make us unable to express the work of the Spirit and Word and our love for God freely. We will be made to calculate with God. Always try to be limited by activities or this world’s flow of life that is considered as normal. This is the time to fight and ‘rebel’ to the system and atmosphere of this world’s life.

For so long the world has ‘successfully’ made the lifestyle of lingering in prayer, worship or reading the Word an outdated or old school lifestyle. Those who do this are considered out of date or do not keep up with the speed of the movement of life. We are successfully made to be kept busy pursuing all things physically and leaving that divine lifestyle behind! This is the root of the problem that often makes a believer’s life more humane, living in inner conflict, and in the flesh. We have been made to lose a lot of
time to linger in God’s presence.

I seem to hear a voice from the bottom of my heart and that voice says: “Go back to the life that God desires! This is the time that the focus of our lives is aimed to stand before His throne and serve Him as the Lord of our lives.”

This morning, my prayer before the Holy Spirit is: “Holy Spirit, help me to have strong and solid determination to even reject life from the river of death. I want to continue to drink from the water that God has given me. I want to follow the drive of the Holy Spirit who continues to give a heart that thirsts and hungers for the Word which is expressed through prayer, worship, and reading the Word that makes our lives become Christlike (godly and divine).”

This is what will make us to be connected with eternity! So, with full awareness we can compare the two lives, which are the life that the world offers towards death with a life that stay focus on God which leads to eternity. Surely, I want to keep on living only for God and live in eternity. I want to be determined again to live a life that the world considers old school or hates (praying, worshiping, reading the Word), because I
believe it is the divine life that will defeat the world!
