A believer who loses God’s consciousness is like a cellphone that loses its signal in a blank spot area. No matter how advanced the cellphone is, when it loses signal, it cannot be used.
Likewise, a believer who loses God’s consciousness, his ability within him seems lost and everything seems to be not functioning properly.
God’s consciousness is a condition of life in which whenever our senses ‘give a report’ based on external data or facts, our thoughts and emotions or minds respond which is always associated with or in harmony with God’s promises, revelations of the Spirit or God’s voice we have ever received.
Therefore, we will always enjoy divine peace that surpasses all understanding that rules our thoughts, judgments, and decision-making. So that whatever decisions we make will always be in harmony with God’s word and agenda in our lives.
Look at the examples of the following verses:
Psalms 2:1-3 (NET) Why do the nations rebel? Why are the countries devising plots that will fail? The kings of the earth form a united front; the rulers collaborate against the Lord and his anointed king. They say, “Let’s tear off the shackles they’ve put on us! Let’s free ourselves from their ropes!”
The psalmist got the facts and data that the kings and rulers of the world were collaborating to rebel against God and His anointed. However, what was the response of the psalmist? He recalled God’s promise and let it influence his heart and mind. As result, his decision-making was in harmony with God’s word and promises.
As stated in the following verses:
Psalms 2:4-12 (NASB1995) He who sits in the heavens laughs, The Lord scoffs at them. Then He will speak to them in His anger And terrify them in His fury, saying, “But as for Me, I have installed My King Upon Zion, My holy mountain.” “I will surely tell of the decree of the Lord: He said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance, And the very ends of the earth as Your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron, You shall shatter them like earthenware.’ ” Now therefore, O kings, show discernment; Take warning, O judges of the earth. Worship the Lord with reverence And rejoice with trembling. Do homage to the Son, that He not become angry, and you perish in the way, For His wrath may soon be kindled. How blessed are all who take refuge in Him!
What happened in Heaven, God’s consciousness that ruled the psalmist gave him a spiritual stature that made him fearless and even spoke loudly against the kings and great men of the world.
The same thing happened in the story of David when he challenged Goliath, his response was strikingly different from the Israelites who were so scared and intimidated by Goliath’s voice. This was because God’s consciousness continued to reign in and accompanied David.#ILoveGod
