Isaiah‬ ‭9‬:‭6‬ ‭(NIV‬‬) For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

The word “Prince of Peace” kept speaking and burning within me. Then the Holy Spirit brought me to remember the ‘crucial’ (deadly) moments that Jesus had had.

1. WALKING ON THE WATER AND THE RUSHING STORM

We all know this story, but few want to experience the same thing. Whereas we need to have the right attitude and response like Jesus. Waves and storms of external things can’t be ‘predicted’, they can come and go at any time. The problem is that oftentimes our emotions get swayed by situations, circumstances, and other people’s emotions.

This is the time for us to realize our identity in Christ, that we are children of the Prince of Peace! Peace is the highest governmental authority. It is a weapon to conquer all. Therefore, remain in peace, remain in our identity in Him, that we are children of the Prince of Peace!

Use our mouths to dismantle the mold of the world that responds to everything in panic, anger, or disappointment. Dismantle it with full consciousness that we are children of the Prince of Peace. Who can respond to everything calmly and speak with authority!

2. THE KING OF PEACE BEFORE PILATE

Elegant! That’s the word that came to mind when I read the story. That is the way and the composure of the Prince of Peace in responding to the rulers of this world who are under His authority.

John‬ ‭18‬:‭33‬-‭37‬ ‭(NIV‬‬) Pilate then went back inside the palace, summoned Jesus and asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?” “Is that your own idea,” Jesus asked, “or did others talk to you about me?” “Am I a Jew?” Pilate replied. “Your own people and chief priests handed you over to me. What is it you have done?” Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.” “You are a king, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭21‬:‭1‬ ‭(NIV‬‬) In the Lord’s hand the king’s heart is a stream of water that he channels toward all who please him.

The concrete manifestation of God’s children is TO BRING PEACE! That is the CHARACTERISTICS OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN! Peace is not a passive thing, but an aggressive weapon that swallows death in victory. Therefore, make certain the flow of living water emanates profusely from within us. That is the power of peace that will touch the lives of many people!

3. WHEN THE NATIONS RAGE!

God remains calm and all is in His control. He is never startled, afraid, let alone worried, because He is the Prince of Peace. He shows His existence far beyond any name that can be named. He even laughed at it all!

Psalms‬ ‭2‬:‭1‬-‭8‬ ‭(NIV‬‬) Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed, saying, “Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles.” The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them. He rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying, “I have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain.” I will proclaim the Lord’s decree: He said to me, “You are my son; today I have become your father. Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.”

For so long we have struggled for peace in our hearts as if it could not remain stay, it comes and goes. But if we realize that OUR IDENTITY is AS CHILDREN OF THE KING OF PEACE (the word becomes flesh), then peace will reign within us.

Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭15‬ ‭(NKJV) And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.

‭‭Romans‬ ‭16‬:‭20‬ ‭(NASB1995‬‬) The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.”
