Obviously, we all believe that God is able to heal all kinds of diseases. But not all ‘believers’, in fact, want to persevere and truly believe in what they say they believe.
If there are ‘alternative’ healings, why not use them? Moreover, after praying and it turns out that the disease does not go away. With many ‘reasons’ that build ‘a logic’ and ‘self-truth’, in the end, we consider ‘healing’ from other alternatives to be ‘the way that God has given’.
And those of us who pray for sick people also end up in a dilemma. On the one hand, believe in the power of prayer, but on the other hand, healing does not occur. We are driven to ‘find other alternatives’.
Of course with numerous ‘wise enough’ excuses such as: ‘God allows healing through medication’. There’s nothing wrong with that because they act to avoid risks including death, so any way can ‘be God’s way’ for them.
It’s not easy to pass the conditions above. Since many ‘servants of God’ who were active in the gift of healing fell ill and underwent medical treatment. In the end, God’s loud voice about the POWER OF HEALING IN THE NAME of JESUS became less powerful.
Particularly in the current era, there are lots of other alternative cures that we can find. From alternative medicine, herbs, drugs, surgeries with advanced technology, and many more. The truth about HEALING is getting dragged into the ‘GREY AREA’. Especially when we have money and insurance, if we can use it, why do we only pray for healing?
Based on humanity, love, and compassion, we are in a deeply dilemmatic condition. We intend to convey the ABSOLUTE AND WHOLE TRUTH, but the risk of death and ‘moral responsibility’ sometimes still haunts us.
This morning I brought this situation before God, what should we do?
1. Continue to build faith only from the Word.
As long as there is a mixture of the Word and other healing information, consequently, the result will be ‘mixed faith’. Observe the story of a woman who had a hemorrhage for twelve years, she got rid of the ‘other methods’ and started focusing on building faith from what she believed: Only by touching the hem of Jesus’ robe, she would be healed!
That woman focused only on that. She didn’t think she would die for abandoning the ‘other method’! There was no ‘dead’ word in her mind, quite the opposite, CURE. So she wasn’t ‘gambling’, but was taking action with full confidence that she would CERTAINLY BE HEALED!
2. I firmly believe, the work of the Spirit and the Word is being poured out on a stronger and denser level so that we will ‘leave the fear of death’ and enter the ‘zone of eternal life’.
Where all forms of sickness and the work of the enemy will simply disappear. There will come a time when God’s voice from within His church will eliminate any disease without even the sick person has to believe first!
Revelation 21:3-4 (NASB1995) And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.”
There will come a time when God’s sovereign power will shroud and restore many people! Our part now is to continue to build PURITY OF FAITH ONLY FROM THE WORD. Be more eager in persevering in reading, declaring, and digging the Word with a thirsty and hungry heart for the Word! This is the only key to OVERCOME THE WORLD!
