Romans 12:1-2(NIV) Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your
bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
When we were redeemed by God through the sacrifice of His Son, it is only natural to realize that we don’t belong to ourselves, but belong to God completely. So if we exist today, verily our existence is only to do His will. Paul advised the Romans to keep this in mind (Romans 6:11).
The problem is that there are still many believers who carry the pattern of the world, they unconsciously think the existence of God as a ‘figure’ to realize all of their own personal desires. So the center of attention is the figure, not God. They don’t want to know what God’s will is. What they think about is how to make God always bless their lives for them to achieve the success that the world has to offer.
How great is God’s love! Even under these conditions, God is still willing to demonstrate many miracles among His people who are still self-centered. Remember the story of Israel circling for 40 years in the desert. Everything is done by God for one purpose: to give His people a chance to see the window of opportunity got smaller to enter corporate life which will roll and move a grand revival!
It is during this time requires very aggressive collaboration from His people for the renewal of mind, which is the dismantling of the mold of the world so that His people no longer think for themselves but can function as one body to complete God’s will.
This can only happen by PERSEVERING IN READING, DIGGIING, PRAYING AND DECLARING THE VERSES OF THE WORD. I feel that we can no longer tolerate ourselves being sluggish in doing this. The time is not much longer, because the opportunity for the renewal of the mind is getting shorter.
My prayer this morning: “Holy Spirit, help Your people to realize this. Let the focus of their attention be on You and Your will. Let the individualistic life ends now. They can see how powerful Your calling is in the unity of body of Christ! Let Your grace pours out upon Your people so that they diligently continue to renew their minds. And soon the mold of the world can be removed from their lives. They walk in God’s ways to fulfill God’s heart. Amen!
