In my mind there are many verses that appear and provide deep understanding. I also became aware that this condition is called living in the Spirit.

Romans 8:5 (NKJV) For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

Of course, we can condition this, so it’s not difficult, in fact there are many ‘advantages’ when we think about things from the Spirit:

1. Automatically peace, joy and gratitude will continue to flow from within us.

2. Our decision-making and actions are always based on the accurate and precise truth of God’s Word.

3. We will always grow more mature and godlier in all aspects, because the work of the Spirit and the Word becomes ‘spiritual food’ that brings us to be more like Christ.

4. We will be people who hold fast to God’s promises in all circumstances, our daily life is to live by faith, because it is no longer we who live but Christ!

The question is, how to condition the mind to always be filled with God’s Word:

There is no other way, ask the Holy Spirit for a heart that is thirsty and hungry for truth, then be determined to dig every principle of the Word. It does take our time to invest, but it’s worth the effort. Because only by hearing the Word of God does faith arise and only by faith, we do overcome the world!

1 John 5:4 (NKJV) For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

THE WAY OF VICTORY has been given to us and it is only by faith that we overcome the world. So, this is the time for us to be wholehearted in contemplating, digging and speaking the Word until our spirits are stirred up. Persevere in the path we have traveled, then we will overcome the world!

We must be aware of the menace of distraction. Never think it is normal to not receive the word of God, and lose peace and joy. Never assume that it’s normal if the condition of our spirit dies out and the way we respond to the Word becomes less aggressive than usual. It’s a sign that the ‘world’ is trying to mold us to be passive in following the work of the Spirit and the Word! Especially during the pandemic, we are ‘molded’ to be…
